Audio Setup

How do I set audio input and output in the standalone app?

Use the audio settings gear to select your interface, active input channel, output pair, buffer size, mute state, and startup behavior.

Open Audio Settings

  1. Open the standalone app.
  2. Select the audio settings gear in the top area.
  3. Choose your audio interface as the device.
  4. Select the input channel where the guitar is connected.
  5. Select the stereo output pair connected to speakers or headphones.
  6. Set a buffer size that balances low latency with stable playback.

Input and output defaults

The standalone app uses one active input channel for guitar and a stereo output pair by default so the mono guitar signal reaches both speakers or headphones. This is output routing, not true stereo processing.

If your guitar is plugged into input 2, select input 2 as the active input channel. Otherwise the app may be receiving silence from input 1.

Mute and startup behavior

  • Mute Input toggles live input for standalone mode.
  • Prompt asks what to do each time the app starts.
  • Muted starts safely muted.
  • Unmuted starts with live input enabled.
