Fast checklist
- Confirm the guitar is plugged into the audio interface input you selected.
- In standalone mode, open Audio Settings and choose the correct active input channel.
- If the red Audio Input Muted banner is visible, unmute the standalone input.
- On macOS, allow microphone or audio input permission if the system asks.
- In a DAW, enable input monitoring or record-arm the audio track.
- Make sure NAM Rig is inserted on the audio track that receives your guitar.
- Turn Gate down if it is closing on quiet input.
- Check that NAM Rig Power, slot bypass, Mix, and Output Gain are not blocking the signal.
- Load a model or IR into the slot you want to hear.
- Confirm your DAW or operating system is sending output to the right speakers or headphones.
If meters move but you hear nothing
If the NAM Rig input meter moves but the output meter does not, check bypass, Power, Mix, Gate, and loaded model state.
If both NAM Rig meters move but you hear nothing, the issue is likely after the plugin: DAW track routing, master output, interface output, or speaker/headphone monitoring.
If meters do not move
The issue is likely before NAM Rig: wrong interface input, wrong active input channel, muted standalone input, missing OS permission, or DAW monitoring not enabled.
