Basic DAW setup
- Connect your guitar to an audio interface instrument input.
- Create a mono audio track in your DAW.
- Select the interface input where your guitar is plugged in.
- Insert NAM Rig as an audio effect on that track.
- Enable input monitoring or record-arm the track so the live input reaches the plugin.
- Load a tone from TONE3000 or a local NAM file.
- Adjust Input Gain, Gate, and Output Gain until the level is clean.
Track routing
A mono guitar input is expected. In a DAW, NAM Rig processes and returns a mono signal; it does not add true stereo processing based on the host layout.
If you hear only the dry guitar, your interface direct monitor or DAW monitoring path may be bypassing the plugin. Monitor through the DAW track when you want to hear NAM Rig.
Recording
For maximum flexibility, record a clean DI track and monitor through NAM Rig while recording. You can then change tones later by changing the plugin settings on the track.
