Troubleshooting

Why can't my DAW find NAM Rig?

Restart the host, run a full plugin rescan, verify the installed format, and check the standard plugin folders.

Fix steps

  1. Quit and reopen the DAW after installation.
  2. Run a full plugin rescan in the DAW plugin manager.
  3. Confirm you installed a format your DAW supports.
  4. Check the standard plugin folder for the installed file.
  5. Clear the DAW plugin cache or blacklist if the first scan failed.
  6. Reinstall NAM Rig if the file is missing from the expected folder.

Format reminders

  • Use VST3 for most modern DAWs.
  • Use Audio Unit only on macOS hosts that support AU plugins.
  • Use the AAX-compatible format only in hosts that load that format.
  • Use the standalone app when you want to play without scanning a DAW plugin.

If the plugin appears but has no sound

A successful scan only means the host found the plugin. If the plugin opens but no audio passes, check track input, input monitoring, bypass, Gate, and output routing.
