How do I use the standalone app?

Open the standalone app, choose whether to enable input, select your audio device if needed, and load a tone.

Quick start

  1. Connect your guitar and speakers or headphones to an audio interface.
  2. Open the NAM Rig standalone app.
  3. On the safety prompt, choose Settings if you need to select your audio interface.
  4. Choose Enable Input when you are ready to hear the live input.
  5. Load a tone from TONE3000 or a local file.
  6. Adjust input and output levels before turning up speakers.

Why input starts muted

The standalone app starts with input muted to reduce the chance of feedback or sudden loud output. This is separate from plugin bypass and output gain.

If the red Audio Input Muted banner is visible, click it twice to unmute input.

Startup choices

The first prompt offers Enable Input, Settings, and Keep Muted. If you select Don't ask again, the app saves the startup choice.

You can change the startup behavior later in Audio Settings.
