What is NAM Rig?

NAM Rig is a free guitar amp simulator that can run as a plugin or as a standalone app.

What NAM Rig is

NAM Rig is a free guitar amp simulator from Nouratone. It uses Neural Amp Modeler technology to play captured amp, cab, pedal, and full rig tones.

You can use it inside a DAW as an audio effect plugin, or you can open the standalone app and play directly through an audio interface.

What it loads

  • NAM model files with the .nam extension.
  • Impulse response files with .wav, .aif, .aiff, or .flac extensions.
  • TONE3000 tones from the built-in browser after signing in.
  • Local model folders from your computer.

How the signal chain works

The main chain is Gate, Gain, Pedal, Amp, Cab, Post-EQ, then output controls. Any slot can be bypassed when you do not need it.

Use Input Gain and Gate before the model chain. Use Amp Out, Cab Out, Pedal Out, Mix, and Output Gain to set the final level.
