Slot roles
- Pedal sits before the amp and is useful for drive, boost, and effect captures.
- Amp is the main amp model slot.
- Cab is the speaker cabinet or impulse response stage.
Amp & Cab tones
Some TONE3000 tones are categorized as Amp & Cab. Loading one into the main Amp slot automatically turns IR Bypass on because the capture already includes the cabinet sound.
Loading a plain Amp tone into the main Amp slot automatically turns IR Bypass off so the separate Cab stage can be heard again.
Pedal and Cab loads do not change this automatic Amp and Amp & Cab bypass behavior.
Bypass choices
Use Pedal Bypass when you want the amp without the pedal slot. Use IR Bypass when you want to bypass the cabinet or IR stage.
